about

The peasant folk in the village live their everyday lives under the harsh rule of Mordred. Some are optimistic of a day when Arthur will return. Others just try to survive.

lyrics

The Peasants:

These fields don’t plow themselves ya know
And I got mouths to feed
All that help are paid for some
But most just goes away

To a throne that makes us wonder
If it’ll ever see the day

“Don’t lose faith
We have followed your grace
A new king of the land will come
Someday we hope and pray”

My daughter’s been sick for many weeks
And there’s no one who can help
The soldiers laugh and kick us aside
They never hear us out

They rule with an iron fist of law
At night they lurk about

“Don’t lose faith
We have followed your grace
A new king of the land will come
Someday we hope and pray

Pray to be what was
To be what is
Arthurian undone
An old tale forgotten
Truth it will become"
