about

Merlin revisits Arthur in a dream to tell him what he must do. Merlin tells Arthur he must reclaim the kingdom from Mordred to save his people. Once done, if he wants the kingdom to prosper for eternity, he must cast Excalibur back to the Lady of the Lake, where it originally came from. Arthur is unsure due to his failing health of old age. Merlin tells Arthur of the location of the Holy Grail, deep in the Deathland Caves, for if he is to drink from it, his health will be restored enough for him to fight Mordred and claim back the kingdom. Arthur agrees and will tell his knights and loyalists of his plan at dawn.

lyrics

Narrator:

Merlin appears to Arthur in a dream, for now is the time for him to reclaim the kingdom

Merlin:

Arthur… Arthur...

It’s time to wake up, I hope you’ve had your fun
But your people here are suffering, there’s a kingdom to be run!
Only you can save them by the power of the sword
Only you can claim the reward

Excalibur must be freed for the kingdom you’ll reclaim
Throw it back into the seas if you want prosperity to reign
To the Lady of the Lake, and there’ll be peace after your throne
You must bring Excalibur home

Arthur:

Oh Merlin, I am weak and it’s well beyond my years
My strength has failed me here
I know my son is the evil of our time
But there’s nothing I can do, I’m too weak and way passed my prime

Merlin:

Ah yes but there is an answer
Send your knights to The Deathland Caves
There lies the Holy Grail of the Lord
Drink from the chalice and your health be restored

Arthur:

You’re right Merlin, I’ve been a fool all along
I’ll let the past die and right all these wrongs
I will return and make the kingdom free one day
And all the lives will be saved
Once returned to the Lady of the Lake
Excalibur will be free of it’s pain

I will gather my men at dawn
And we will chart a course for The Deathland Caves
For it is my duty, that is well, well overdue
I, Arthur, will rule this kingdom again
